CHILDREN NEED AN ADVOCATE!


A designated pediatric  champion  ensures that an EMS agency and its providers are better prepared to care for sick and injured children. 


The role of a Pediatric Emergency Care Champion (PECC) is diverse and you may serve one or more of these responsibilities by overseeing pediatric specific duties;

  • Order/replace equipment, supplies and medications
  • Organize safety and injury prevention programs
  • Protocol development and review
  • Promote case reviews, QI/QA
  • Serve as liaison with hospital outreach PECC
  • Promote pediatric education/training
  • Participate and complete survey's
