Welcome Pediatric Champions
CHILDREN NEED AN ADVOCATE!
A designated pediatric champion ensures that an EMS agency and its providers are better prepared to care for sick and injured children.
The role of a Pediatric Emergency Care Champion (PECC) is diverse and you may serve one or more of these responsibilities by overseeing pediatric specific duties;
- Order/replace equipment, supplies and medications
- Organize safety and injury prevention programs
- Protocol development and review
- Promote case reviews, QI/QA
- Serve as liaison with hospital outreach PECC
- Promote pediatric education/training
- Participate and complete survey's
